EMPOWERING OUR COMMUNITY
PREVENTATIVE PUBLIC SAFETY
By the time the police knock on your door, it’s too late. Effective prevention is key to keeping families together and neighborhoods safe. Intentional investments into education, prevention focused positions, and community-wide initiatives are a deterrent to crime. Being proactive on the frontend will save valuable time, money, and resources for the community and supports the work of our first responders.
FUNDING OUR SCHOOLS
Public education is an investment into our future and a preventative measure for public safety. April believes in properly funding our schools, keeping the doors open, transparency, and accountability. This means paying our teachers well and appointing school board members that are knowledgeable, informed, experienced, and pro-public education. Our kids are worth it!
TRANSPARENT TAX RELIEF
While tax cuts mainly benefit those who own land, vehicles or multiple houses, tax relief should be for all residents of Lynchburg. Rent Prices and small business tax relief are a priority.
INTENTIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
It takes a shared vision to plan for the future and Lynchburg has so many characteristics to build on - trails, parks, businesses, people, and more! April supports creative, strategic planning that enhances the quality of life for all residents while continuing to improve the city’s economic well-being.
